Privacy policy

Information we collect

When you purchase a licence we collect the details needed to complete the order: name, email address, billing country and the payment confirmation returned by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

When you contact support we keep the content of your message together with technical details you choose to share, such as your Windows version or the edition of PDF Suite you use.

When you browse the website we collect standard log data such as IP address, browser type, referring page and the pages you view, plus analytics data described in the cookie policy.

Your documents stay on your computer

PDF Suite is desktop software. Files you open, edit, convert or secure are processed locally on your own machine and are not uploaded to us. We therefore never receive, store or read the content of your PDFs.

How we use information

We use your information to deliver the licence you bought, provide customer support, send maintenance and security notices, prevent fraudulent orders, meet accounting obligations and improve the website and the product.

We send marketing email only if you opt in, and every message contains an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.

Sharing with service providers

We share data only with the providers required to run the business: payment processing, order fulfilment, email delivery, helpdesk software and website analytics. These providers act on our instructions and may not use the data for their own purposes. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Order records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting rules. Support conversations are kept while your licence is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.

Your rights

You can request access to the data we hold about you, ask for corrections, request deletion, object to processing or ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to privacy@pdfsuite.io and we will answer within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS, access to order and support systems is restricted to staff who need it, and credentials are protected with multi-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep the amount of personal data we collect to a minimum.
